Orpheus is desperate. He has lost his beloved forever, and he will never be the same again.
He lives in a tragic limbo, stripped of every definition of himself, he looks in the mirror and does not recognize himself. He no longer has an identity.
The only thing keeping him alive is the memory of her, Eurydice, who haunts him, torments him, and transforms him into a man completely powerless and incapable of loving again.
